What a great night and what a great privilege to be the president's nominated charity at the UK Chamber of Shipping Annual Gala Dinner 2024.

We give our thanks to the UK Chamber of Shipping, to UKCOS President Graham Westgarth for choosing us to be his beneficiary charity and to everyone who contributed to making the night so special.

This premier black-tie event in the shipping calendar was an opportunity for over 800 guests from across the maritime world to network with colleagues, celebrate recent achievements and hear about our work with seafarers and their families.

During the evening we were thanked repeatedly for this work, with one guest even coming over to tell us how, at a really low time in his career, he had come to Sailors'​ Society for the support he needed. He said that he knew from firsthand experience just how vital our Wellness at Sea programme and 24/7 support for seafarers really is.
