Wellness at Sea Maritime Schools' Conferences 2022

Positive wellbeing for a rewarding seafaring career

Following the success of a pilot conference held in India in September 2021, we will be running a series of online conferences exploring the all-important subject of wellbeing and mental health, and helping prepare cadets for a long and fulfilling career at sea. Designed especially for maritime colleges and their current students, they will feature talks from industry leaders, interactive sessions and practical advice, equipping and empowering participants with awareness and skills that will serve them throughout their seafaring lives. Hosted online with technical support from The UK P&I Club, the conferences will be chaired by Johan Smith, Sailors’ Society’s head of wellness and lead of our pioneering Wellness at Sea programme.

“I found this event really insightful and helpful, especially the crisis response information and how to handle stress and workload. All of the speakers were brilliant and shared great experience and knowledge.”
