Seafarer returns home for the first time in nine years

Sailors' Society is delighted for Syrian seafarer Mohammed, who is returning home for the first time in NINE years at sea to get married.

He has only seen his family on video call in that time – he even missed his brother and sister’s weddings and has never met his niece and nephew.

"I am not able to express my emotions and feelings in words but I am very happy to meet them after nine long years," he told our chaplain Praison in Deendayal, where he used Sailors' Society's Wi-Fi before sailing for home.
